Good photography is crucial for the success of a website or any project. Photos capture the ambiance, food, action, what it feels like to be there, but virtually! That’s the goal.
Catching that is an art. Using the photos in the most creative, useful effective ways on the website is a second form of art. Retouching, proper sizing for websites, another step. This is part of the graphic design and art form needed to create the most fabulous website or any other form of media for that matter, exceptional.

*My photos are mostly taken with a Nikon and that did make a different artistic impression than the photos taken on my phone. The art sort of “presents itself” with my Nikon, so having said a fancy camera is not necessary, it made the difference in the websites I design. There are great cameras on phones, too, though, and those offer yet another form of expression, so they are all workable as long as you can use photo editing software to adjust what is needed.
